Located on the route of the Princes of Orange, the Provencal village of Entrechaux is dominated by its medieval castle. The village is unique in that it is bordered by the Toulourenc River and crossed by the Ouvèze River.

The village, once Celtic, then Roman, before being placed under pontifical authority, has prehistoric origins. Today, it lies at the foot of the medieval castle.
