The name of Mollans-sur-Ouvèze, a village in the Drôme region, appears in texts as early as 992. The castle and fortified village of Mollans, belonging to the Mévouillon family, is mentioned as early as 1122. As such, the village is part of the Baronnies.
Coming from Entrechaux, park along the avenue. After a few meters, you'll come across the magnificent 1713 Dauphin fountain and its semi-circular covered washhouse, which form the emblematic ensemble of Mollans. The large fountain is topped by a dolphin, a reminder that the village belongs to the Dauphiné region. The ensemble faces the medieval tower supporting the belfry.
